A new step forward in the dispute of social inclusion internships (TIS) was carried out today with the meeting promoted by the province of Crotone at the request of CISL Magna Greciain the presence of President Sergio Ferrari and numerous mayors in the area.
“Today’s meeting represents a result that we claim with pride – said Daniele Gualtieri, general secretary of Cisl Magna Grecia -. We have strongly asked that from recent days, that the Province was promoting a unitary confrontation with all 27 mayors of Crotone, so that institutional inertia was exceeded and a decisive window was grasped to give a concrete perspective to these workers. President Sergio Ferrari has collected our invitation with a great sense of responsibility and we thank him publicly. We hope that even in the territories of Catanzaro and Vibo Valentia the presidents of the respective provinces are promoting an awareness -raising action against the bodies involved, so that each assumes their own responsibilities and concretely contributes to the path of stabilizing the entire Basin of the Trainees “.
During the meeting, the invitation to all municipal administrations was reiterated to participate in the expression of interest on the regional platform by the deadline of June 15. “We clarified once again – said the territorial secretary of the CISL Magna Greece Salvatore Federico – that adhesion to the expression of interest is not a legal constraint, but it is a necessary condition to not preclude any future possibility. It is a fundamental step to safeguard a professional assets that today guarantees essential services in our local authorities ».
The Municipality of Crotone has confirmed the intention to proceed with the part-time stabilization of 10 units, a positive but not sufficient signal. Cisl Magna Grecia has in fact reiterated that the goal must be to guarantee a wider stabilization, starting from the awareness that all trainees are essential for the municipalities that today declare that they cannot do without it.
The comparison also placed the emphasis on a crucial node: the November deadline. «There will be no further extensions. This obliges us to work extremely urgently – added Federico -. It is not enough to participate in the expression of interest: it is necessary to build a serious and credible sustainability plan immediately for the Municipality. Otherwise, even those who today return to the platform risk staying out in November ».
Cisl Magna Grecia has asked that the path is not limited only to the municipalities and the province, but also involves other public bodies, such as Arsac, Calabria Verde, Sorical and reclamation consortia, so that all absorption possibilities are explored. Even the municipalities currently without TIS have been urged to verify their needs, so that they can possibly welcome staff from entities that will not be able to stabilize all the internships in charge.
«Today – conclude Daniele Gualtieri and Salvatore Federico – we have hit an important goal: the convergence of all the institutions on participation in the expression of interest. But it is not enough. We need immediate and tireless work to avoid that a social emergency explodes in November. The Region has already invested over 200 million euros: if this effort does not lead to the full enhancement of the pelvis, it will be an intolerable waste. We are working at all levels, even nationally, so that historicized resources are increased. But we know well that the times of the budget law do not coincide with those of the November deadline. For this we ask unity, responsibility and courage: the Cisl Magna Grecia will continue to be alongside the trainees, day by day, meeting after meeting, until everyone’s stabilization ».
