Today at 6 pm the first exit of the giants Mata and Griffin from the deposit in via Catania, and the first stop in Piazza Fazio in Camaro Superiore, the program of the Messina 2025 August agent, with the appointments related to Vara and Giants, comes alive. The program, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and supported by the contribution of the Regional Tourism Department, led by the Hon. Elvira Amata and in connection with the Ministry of Tourism, provides for today a rich calendar of appointments.
Among the novelties of this year – supported by the councilor for popular traditions Enzo Caruso, in agreement with the mayor Federico Basile – the resumption of the ancient tradition of drums, dressed in white with band and cap (‘a mèusa), which will open the procession of the giants. The parade will be composed of the camel and the folk groups I Mata and Grifone, the Cariddi, the Madonnina and the Cantattittu.
Today’s appointments continue at 9.30 pm, in Piazza Fazio in Camaro Superiore, space for comedy with the cabaret show by Sasà Salvaggio. Also at 9.30 pm, on the staircase of Palazzo Zanca, appointment with Musical Summer – “Night under the stars with the Gran Gala del Musical”, by the Academy of Musical and Acting On Stage with the On Stage Company. Finally, at 9.00 pm, at the Coral Garden, Gesuè Pagano will stage “from me to me”.
