Tourè’s “pearls” were not enough for Messina

Six goals but a lot of presence on the pitch, especially in the first round, for Isyakha Tourè with the Messina shirt. The winger has long been the “extra man” to cling to technically, in the search for inspiration, especially under the management of Pippo Romano: in his 3-5-2 the former Chieti player was adapted in attack next to Roseti, immovable due to his ability to accelerate and change pace, making the team move up and finding depth.
The problems started at the halfway point, for him and also for the team: physical trouble felt in the last first leg, which forced him to miss the Milazzo derby. Then the return, the search for an adequate condition, the tactical adaptation in the carousel of changes between Parisi and Feola. In short, not a very brilliant period, but even in the end Messina tried to stay afloat thanks to its qualities, to try to secure the category. Three super goals: the one at Favara then nullified by the daring end of the match, again after the scores with Ragusa (assisted by Tedesco) and with Milazzo (in solitary play). More as a striker than a striker, with a brilliance that unfortunately for the biancoscudati was lost in the tactical block of the “Campo” stadium, in the playout draw in Ragusa.
But Tourè was among the happy notes of this season which ended in negative results, so much so that it seems there could also be an opportunity for him among the professionals on the horizon.
The Frenchman born in 2001, meanwhile, wanted to end his spell in the Giallorossi in this way: «We gave everything, every day with our hearts, it will still hurt for a long time – he said in reference to the bitter relegation -. There are seasons that mark you more than others, not only for the results but for the pain, the battles, the emotions, the bonds created in the most difficult moments. I thank Messina for making me feel at home, thanks to the fans, to those faces, to those families who supported us everywhere, at home and away. In the rain, in the cold or in good weather. Who has always been there.”
Something profound: «I have the impression of having lived three years with you, not just one season. And from the final whistle, everything stopped. Everything became heavy, the nights, the days, the hours, isolated in my corner, thinking back to this season I have the impression that the world has stopped.”
From this state of mind, a message of hope: «Messina will find the place it deserves at the highest levels – concluded Tourè -. Football sometimes breaks the heart but the love for this shirt and city will always remain.”
