Eleven people died in the plane crash in Tomblaine, a suburb of Nancy: five instructors, five students and the expert pilot. Three people were thrown out of the cockpit. This was reported by L’Est Republicain.

Yves Seguy, prefect of Meurthe-et-Moselle, confirmed that the accident caused 11 deaths but did not confirm, as claimed by the local press, that most of them were freelance nurses registered with a parachuting club. The Minister of the Interior, Laurent Nunez, is expected on site.
