The latest judicial police operation in the Upper Tyrrhenian Sea of Cosenza was conducted by the Carabinieri Station of Cittadella del Capo – Compagnia di Scalea last 16 December: on this occasion they a 27-year-old and a 38-year-old arrested in Bonifati for possession for the purpose of dealing drugsboth local.
The soldiers, during a normal road traffic check, noticed a van with two subjects inside, one of whom, sitting on the passenger side, when the patrol arrived, he suddenly ducked as if not to be seen.
The movement did not go unnoticed and the Carabinieri immediately blocked the vehicle: the boy was immediately recognized as he had been arrested a month earlier after being found in possession of cocainewhich is why he was subjected to the precautionary measures of the obligation to report to the judicial police and the obligation to reside in the municipality of Bonifati.
From the first stages of the check, the two took on a nervous and hesitant attitude and were therefore subjected to searches. The intuition of the Carabinieri proved to be well founded: in fact 87 grams of cocaine were found under the driver’s seat divided into multiple packages, ready to be sold at retail. Furthermore, when one of the two subjects got out of the van, he took a paper handkerchief from his trouser pockets and threw it under the service car, trying to get rid of it. However, the gesture did not escape the Carabinieri who recovered it and verified that it contained others 13.8 grams of cocaine.
All the narcotic substance, just over 100 grams of cocainewas seized and will be subjected to technical checks by the Narcotic Substance Analysis Laboratory of the Carabinieri of Vibo Valentia.
At the end of the activities, those arrested were subjected to house arrest available to the Judicial Authority.
