Israel has reportedly shared intelligence information with the United States that indicates a new plan by Iran to kill Donald Trump. This is reported by the Wall Street Journalciting sources familiar with the security dossiers.

The news comes at a time of strong tension between Washington and Tehran and is part of the threats that have long weighed on the current American president, considered by Iran to be one of the main perpetrators of the killing of General Qassem Soleimani in 2020.

Trump’s words in Ankara

Speaking to journalists in Ankara, Turkey, Trump himself referred to the risks he would run. “I’m first on the list,” said the tycoon. “So far, I guess I’ve been a little lucky, but maybe the luck won’t last long.”

According to rumours, the US president returned from Ankara adopting particular security measures, including changing the plane used for the return journey.

The conversation with Netanyahu

The revelation of the alleged Iranian plan also comes the day after a telephone conversation between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the two leaders agreed to maintain “coordination between the two countries”. However, it is not clear whether intelligence information on threats to the American president was discussed during the conversation.

At the moment no details on the alleged plot have been disclosed nor has it been clarified whether US intelligence agencies have independently gathered elements to support the information provided by Israel. The White House, questioned by the American media, recalled Trump’s recent statements on threats from Iran.
