Trump to Europe: “Think of Russia and Ukraine, not Greenland”

Donald Trump once again makes headlines on the Greenland dossier and sends a direct message to European leaders. In an interview with NBC News, the US president invited Europe to focus attention on the major geopolitical crises underway, starting with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, rather than on the issue of the Arctic island.

Trump also firmly reiterated his line on the economic level, ensuring that he will “100%” maintain his threat to impose further tariffs if an agreement on Greenland is not reached. A clear stance, which confirms how the issue remains central in the former tycoon’s strategy, both from a geopolitical and commercial perspective.

When asked by NBC News about a possible use of military force in Greenland, Trump chose not to go into detail, limiting himself to a blunt “no comment”. A response that does not clarify Washington’s future intentions and risks fueling further diplomatic tensions.
