Two people who were leaving due to a sudden worsening of weather conditions were reached and killed by lightning on a beach in the Mexican state of Michoacan.

Interviewed by Milenio TV, the mayor, José María Valencia, reported that the accident occurred on the beach known as Aquila in the Maruata areaand that the victims are a trader from Colima and a tourist from Guanajuato.

For its part, the Sol de México newspaper reported that the man and woman were already dead when rescuers arrived on the scene. A person, witness to the event, filmed with his cell phone and spread a seven-second video via X of the exact moment in which the lightning struck the two people who were about to leave the beach.
