The most spectacular event of the summer season returns to Calabria, split into three exciting competitions at the suggestive Hang Loose Beach in the Pesci e Anguille area, from 27 June to 7 July. In Gizzeria everything is ready to welcome the over 200 athletes who will arrive in these days from the World. The Calabrian town is now recognized as one of the best spots thanks to its perfect climatic conditions. During the first week, the regattas of the two categories will be held simultaneously: the young athletes of the A’s Youth Foil category (under 17) who will compete for the world title, together with the Masters and Grand Masters, veterans of the discipline.
From July 3, the show continues with the Formula Kite Youth World Championships, the discipline that will make its debut in Paris at the next Olympic Games. On the weekend of July 6 and 7, to enrich the sports calendar, the stage of the Italian Beach Volleyball Series Beach 1 tournament will be held. The show put on by the main sponsor Porsche will also be on stage with its wonderful cars to be tested and above all with the performances of the athletes who are sponsored by Porsche. The event is promoted by World Sailing (International Sailing Federation), IKA (International Kiteboarding Association), FIV (Italian Sailing Federation), CKWI (Kiteboarding Class and Wingsport Italia), with the organization of the Circolo Velico Hang Loose and the collaboration of Calabria Straordinaria.
Registration of athletes begins on Wednesday 26th June who will compete for the A’S Youth Foil and KiteFoil Open Masters championships, followed by the opening ceremony; from 27th to 30th there will be regattas and on 30th June the awards ceremony and the closing of the event will be held; while from 03 to 07 July it will be the turn of the Formula Kite Youth World Championship.
