Ukraine, poet Myroslav Herasymovych killed at the front

Ukrainian poet, writer and screenwriter Myroslav Herasymovych was killed while fighting at the front in Avdiivka, Donetsk Oblast. The death, reports the Kyiv Independent citing a recent Facebook post by his brother, dates back to November 25th. «In the battle with Russia – we read in Taras Kulyk Herasymovych’s post – my brother Myroslav gave his life in the city of Avdiivka». Herasymovych was born in Lutsk on November 29, 1967 and died a few days before his 57th birthday. He graduated from the Journalism Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University. According to the writers’ association PEN Ukraine, over 100 Ukrainian artists have been killed since 2022.
