One person killed in Sumy and six injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine. This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reports on X, according to which 135 attack drones were launched during the night, more than 50 of which were jet-propelled. “This morning the Russians again struck the Pivnichnyi Bridge (North Bridge) in Kiev with a drone,” Zelensky wrote. In Sumy one person was killed in the attack on a pharmaceutical warehouse, while in Dnipro a communications facility was targeted. “Due to these attacks, six people were injured,” he added.
Attacks and power outages
According to the Ukrainian president, Kiev, Dnipro and the regions of Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia were affected. «And among the main targets of these terrorists, as always, are ordinary residential buildings, critical infrastructure: everything that constitutes daily life. Power outages occurred in some communities. Our services are operating in the affected places,” Zelensky said.
Merz in Kiev, agreements with Germany expected
Zelensky also recalled that today German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is visiting the Ukrainian capital. “Today we are preparing decisions that will allow us, in Ukraine, and all of Europe to have greater capabilities to defend ourselves,” he declared, announcing “important agreements” between Ukraine and Germany, without providing details at the moment.
