After delays and strong concerns, the dispute involving the workers of the CSF company, subcontracted to Snam Srl, employed at the University of Calabria for cleaning services has been resolved. The news was reported by Usb Lavoro Privato Cosenza, which communicated that within two days the payments of the outstanding salaries were finally made.
A situation that the union, together with Aula Studio Liberata, had publicly denounced, highlighting how the non-payment of wages directly affects the dignity of workers, the possibility of supporting their families and meeting daily expenses, especially in the run-up to the Christmas holidays.
The meeting with the University of Calabria
In recent days, a delegation from Usb and Aula Studio Liberata met engineer Aiello, manager of the technical office – tender area – of Unical, to whom all the critical issues linked to the continuous delays in payments were clearly represented.
The University of Calabria, the union explains, responded promptly and seriously, intervening and resolving the problem quickly. «We hope – underline from Usb Lavoro Privato Cosenza – that the thirteenth month’s salary will also be paid shortly and that episodes like this will never happen again», reiterating the need to guarantee continuity and respect for workers’ rights.
