No tolerance against the incivile who deface and offend our Cosenza ». Using hard tones the mayor Franz Carusowho went to the Grippo barracks of the carabinieri to file a complaint against the unknown responsible for the vandalism carried out during the night at Wellness park.

The vandals damaged the coat of some sports facilities, causing damage that the first citizen defines “not to the municipal administration, but to the entire city”.

Caruso: “It is a cultural battle that we will win”

As far as I am concerned – said the mayor – it is now firm and rigorous struggle. Together with the best part of our community, which is the vast majority, and with the help and support of the police, I am sure that we will win this battle which is first of all cultural».

The mayor does not spare hard words against those responsible: “I don’t know who I am and where these barbarians come from incivility have made their way of being, but it is clear that against them we must all react to protect the image of our city, its symbolic places, its precious architectural, cultural and environmental heritage».

“It is not the first vandalism, but it must be the last”

The one at the wellness park is only the last of a series of similar episodes that the municipal administration has had to face in recent months. “The situation is now unbearable and you no longer tolerate it“, Caruso firmly said. “To all my fellow citizens I ask to do in such a way that these barbarians are stemmed by civil society, to be identified and sanctioned for how they deserve».

The mayor’s invitation is clear: unite the forces to defend Cosenza and counteract any form of degradation. A civic, social and cultural response against those trying to destroy the sense of belonging to a community.
