The 24-year-old South Tyrolean champion, number 2 in the world ranking and first favorite in the draw, prevailed in the quarterfinals over Kazakh Alexander Bublik, 16th in the world ranking and eighth seed, with a score of 6-4 6-4, gained in an hour and 17 minutes of play.
For a place in the final Sinner will face the Australian Alex De Minaur, number 7 in the ATP rankings and three in the seeding, who had previously eliminated the other Italian Matteo Berrettini 6-1 7-6(4).
Also on the pitch in the evening is Lorenzo Musetti, no.8 in the world and 4 in the tournament, who will challenge the French Corentin Moutet (n.36 Atp) in the quarterfinals: the winner will face the German Alexander Zverev, no.3 Atp and 2 in the draw, in the semi-final, who benefited from the withdrawal of the Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor (n.28 Atp).
