Road accident in the late afternoon on state road 113 near Ponte Naso, between the territories of Brolo and Capo d’Orlando. In the violent collision, which occurred for reasons still under investigation, two women who were at the wheel of the cars involved, a Renault Clio and a Citroen C5, were injured.
Promptly rescued by the 118 health workers, both were transferred by ambulance to the hospitals of Sant’Agata Militello and Patti. The two drivers suffered widespread bruises and trauma, but – according to initial information – are not in serious conditions.
The carabinieri from the Radiomobile section of the Compagnia di Sant’Agata Militello and the Naso station intervened on site, carrying out investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
The traffic disruptions were severe: long queues formed along state road 113, with traffic remaining completely blocked to allow rescue operations, the removal of the damaged vehicles and the restoration of safety conditions on the road.
