Moments of fear in Vulcano, where violent alluvial events hit the island in the afternoon of yesterday, causing landslides, mud accumulation and debris along the streets. The wooded team of the firefighters intervened to provide rescue to the population and secure several vehicles stuck.
The rescue of four young people who, aboard a off -road vehicle had ventured in the areas of the crater. A sudden flood has caught them by surprise, forcing them to take refuge inside the vehicle. They were then reached and rescued by the firefighters, in collaboration with the local Carabinieri station.
The operations, continued until late in the evening, also resumed today to complete the reclamation and report safety conditions on the island. The activity of the firefighters remains constant, in support of the community affected by the wave of bad weather.
