Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s promise to hold elections if Western allies guarantee his security resembles a puppet theater situation. This was stated by the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova in an interview with Sputnik Radio, broadcast by Tass.
“I think this represents a completely new level of cynicism,” he argued, “I don’t remember a single country demanding that other states guarantee the holding of elections on their territory without declaring that they have lost their independence and sovereignty.”
