A double track to finally reach the new assignment of the city’s waste separation collection service and all the various other connected services. The Municipality travels on one, dealing with the drafting of the new tender, while on the other there is Arrical, the regional waste and water resources authority which will centralize the service within the territorial area. The tracks currently run parallel, even if the progress of the process is different.
The Municipality is already in an extension (until December 31st or, by now, until the new contractor takes over) with the Sieco company and is proceeding with the preparation of the new announcement, after the self-protection withdrawal of the previous one. As will be remembered, that document, which also ended up at the center of the political crisis last summer, presented some shortcomings from the point of view of employment guarantees and contractual levels, so much so that the trade union forces and the employees currently employed by Sieco had made their voice of protest, meeting the municipal leaders.
