The cost of the waste service in S. Teresa di Riva remains above 2 million euros, but according to what was announced by the municipal administration the bills will remain almost unchanged, with reductions for non-domestic users in light of the inconveniences suffered after Cyclone Harry.
The city council, with six favorable votes from the majority (absent Mariella Di Bella and Carmelina Cassaniti) and the abstention of the minority councilors Nino Bartolotta and Cristina Pacher (absent the independents Santino Veri and Martina Lombardo) approved the economic-financial plan and the 2026 rates of the waste tax.
The overall cost of the service went from 2,118,497 to 2,098,153 euros, with a reduction of 20,344 euros, of which 1,335,823 euros of variable costs (they were 1,413,419 euros) and 762,330 euros of fixed costs (compared to 705,078 euros). Bills must be paid by September 30 of this year (first instalment), December 31 (second instalment) and March 31, 2027 (third instalment).
