The mobilization of the inhabitants and visitors of the island of Filicudi continues against the planned construction of the watermaker that the Municipality of Lipari intends to build, using PNRR funds, near the underwater archaeological area of Capo Graziano.
The “Save Palermo” foundation also strengthens the front of dissent, which has presented a formal warning to the Superintendency of the Sea. The document, signed by president Daniele Anselmo, highlights alleged violations of archaeological and environmental constraints, as well as various critical issues related to the Environmental Impact Assessment (VIncA) procedure.
According to the Foundation, the area affected by the intervention falls within the Marine Archaeological Area of Capo Graziano and, in part, in sites belonging to the Natura 2000 network, making the intervention particularly sensitive in terms of environmental and cultural protection.
