Some introductory sentences from Marco Olmo’s book “Il miglior tempo” are the starting points with which Giuseppe Guzzo, president of Asd Tmc360 Sport, designer and creator of the Sila3Vette brand together with Mara Carchidi, wants to introduce the experimentation of a training project called Sila3Vette Training Camp which will take place on the Sila plateau starting in the town of Camigliatello on the weekend of 27-29 September.
The experience gained in recent years with the Sila3Vette project has highlighted how events of this type are not only aimed at athletes who love the world of outdoor sports linked to competition and rankings, but also bring together an audience that wants to break out of the ordinary patterns of everyday life or packaged commercial proposals, to give vent to the pleasure of freedom, seeking it above all in what today is called mountain running or trail running. The philosophy that the Sila3Vette brand transmits to its audience consists of a very simple concept “straight roads have never produced expert pilots” and in this sense that over the years the organizers have constantly updated, improved and changed the Sila3Vette program.
“The Camp experimentation” says Guzzo “works in three directions: the sporting one, aimed at a direct and in-person testimony as in this first edition with Marco Olmo, champion and ultra marathon runner of undisputed fame; the social one, not limiting the aggregation of participants, both new and already close to the organization, to the date of the race; the third direction” continues Guzzo “is the tourist one, in fact during the February competition we think about the result and the finish line, but in a playful and educational activity where time does not represent the main element, space is given to the perception of the senses in experiencing the naturalistic beauties of a territory and its hospitality”.
The choice of the organization to propose Marco Olmo as coach of the first appointment with the training Camps was born not to aim for a highly technical environment but for a very precise concept of lifestyle based on healthy principles in order to change some habits to achieve phenomenal results. Marco Olmo, in fact, is the symbol of phenomenal results: world champion at 59 years old by winning the Ultra Trail of Mont Blanc, the hardest endurance race in the world, he left behind champions of 30 years. The story of Marco Olmo is a dream, sacrifice, resilience, humility, will, objective. “You are never too old to run towards the next happiness” he says in his book “I have a style and a philosophy of life to tell you” he continues.
For joining the Camp, a complete hospitality proposal has been created that includes an overnight stay in the Stazione di Posta Ndut refuge in the Federici area, where the Sila3Vette race starts and finishes, meals from Friday to Sunday, registration for the Sila3Vette 2025 at the 9km, 20km, 40km, 100km at the participant’s choice, convivial moments and a course under the guidance of Olmo.
The organization is available to meet the needs of individual participants by contacting the event secretariat.
