“We rediscover, protect, enhance”. This is the synthesis of a very important project that has seen, once again, the Municipality of Zumpanoin the province of Cosenza. Two breathtaking panoramic points, towards the city and towards the Sila. Urban furnishings, catwalks, benches, lights. The beautiful village of Zumpano is constantly changing, in contrast to the large part of the Calabrian historic centers in great suffering. Merit of the municipal administration which, in this specific project, also had the Gal Sila by his side. With them the Ministry of Agricultural Policies, the European Union, the Calabria Region and the PSR funds.
“The goal was to create a path, within the urban nucleus of the Municipality, which relates the main attractions and buildings of worship with the landscape and architectural beauties. It was to redevelop a territory that is already beautiful of its own,” said proudly- the first citizen Fabrizio Fabiano during a presentation press conference. MONTHS ABOVE MONTHS with the passage of connection between the two realities of Zumpano, today the finish line reached was to complete the design ideas and close the construction sites. “We are really happy with the work done and what has been given to citizenship. Walking from the municipality to these openings, complete with precise tables and indications, then pause to admire incredible panoramas, thanks also to the strategic position of our country, is certainly a nice sign of growth and development on which we have been pointing for some time,” wanted to reiterate Fabiano.
“Through this project, our municipality intended to preserve the value of the assets present in the area and their historical-cultural value, as a testimony of memory and local traditions. We wanted to create a compatible intended use, to contrast the degradation or abandonment of the local heritage and, at the same time, enhance the landscape”, the words of the first citizen to the press. Therefore, the project prepared by the technical area, according to the indications provided by the Municipal Administration, for a total amount of € 50,000.00, for participation in the public notice of measure 7.6.1-2023 of the Local Action Plan of the Gal Sila Development (“support for studies/investments in favor of the historical-cultural, ethnographic, landscape, naturalistic and information actions”); “We are increasingly convinced that good administrative practices must necessarily pass also from these projects and the desire to bring benefits to the territory”, the Chiosa of the Mayor.
