Liz Hatton, the girl suffering from a very aggressive form of cancer who inspired Princess Kate, died at the age of 17for her strength and zest for life in dealing with her serious health problem, during their private meeting last month in Windsor Castle. Liz, from Harrogate in North Yorkshire, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. Kate, who resumed her public engagements after announcing in a video the completion of a months-long cycle of chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis made public last March, had praised the talented young photographer whose shots had been published in social profiles of the Princes of Wales.

Liz, who was accompanied by her family during her visit to Windsor, said she felt “over the moon” after meeting heir to the throne William and his wife Kate. In the last months of her life the girl had managed to realize some of her dreams such as photographing a show in the West End, organizing an exhibition with her shots and meeting the photographer Rankin.
