More than 1,000 North Korean soldiers deployed in support of Russia were killed or wounded in fighting against Ukrainian forces. This was reported by South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). “We estimate that North Korean troops recently engaged in combat against Ukrainian forces suffered approximately 1,100 casualties,” the JCS said in a statement.
At the same time, the South Korean military believes that North Korea is preparing to deploy additional troops to Russia, as well as send more military equipment that could include “suicide drones”, as part of its plan to support Moscow in the war against ‘Ukraine, according to a document published today.
