Lazio conquers Bentegodi by overwhelming Verona 3-0 in the match valid for the twenty-first day of Serie A: Samuel Gigot, Boulaye Dia and Mattia Zaccagni scored. The Biancocelesti then regain the three points and confirm themselves in fourth place in the table; the Venetians are stuck in third to last position. The team from Rome immediately started with their foot on the accelerator and after just two minutes took the lead thanks to a goal by Samuel Gigot who, on the corner kicked by Zaccagni, anticipated Coppola and headed past Montipò. The hosts immediately try to react with a shot from Tengstedt, which hits Provedel squarely. Lazio, despite the one-goal lead, continued to push and in the 18th minute tried to make themselves dangerous with a shot from the edge of the area by Castellanos, which went wide. After a whirlwind of substitutions on both sides, the yellow-blues attempted to reopen the match with an insidious shot from Bradaric but the winger found a careful response from Provedel. In the final, the hosts remained numerically inferior following a naivety by Duda, who was sent off for a second yellow card. The Biancocelesti then easily managed the large lead.
