CATANZARO – Head held high and… gnawing. Once again Catanzaro looks a big team in the eye, but once again they can be blamed for having missed the opportunity to take a slightly longer step forward in the standings, in pride, in ambitions. If the victory could be assigned to points, the Giallorossi would deserve it without too much discussion: they build, they play, they believe in it more and better, but they don’t break through. Indeed, given that in some cases being soft in front of goal can become a cardinal sin, the 0-0 draw at the “Ceravolo” with Pisa, the same result as the first leg, will be digested quickly because it isn’t bad anyway. The vice-leaders had a few chances (a couple and only on free throws in the first quarter of the second half), consequently regretted yes, but Caserta can easily move forward.

Catanzaro’s first half deserves applause. Perhaps never before have the Giallorossi canceled out the 18 point difference in the standings in terms of temperament, tactical attitude, play and opportunities compared to an opponent fighting for direct promotion. At half-time the shots between the posts were 4-0 for Iemmello and co, the chances decidedly more and clearer than the smaller and dirtier ones of Pisa. So the hands that are used for the applause of the fans and the team can also be eaten if the result of the first half is always 0-0.
