This weekend, during the joint surveillance and public order checks carried out in the areas of the “nightlife” Vibonese, the State Police reported a person, with a criminal record against him, for the crime of illegal carrying of weapons, pursuant to art. 4 of law 110/75.
During the service, State Police officers stopped and inspected a car with a person on board.
The suspicious attitude shown by her at the time of the police check led the operators to believe that she might be hiding weapons or objects capable of offending. For this reason, a personal and subsequently vehicular search was carried out, the outcome of which allowed for find a knife with a 6.5 cm blade, for a total length of 15 cm, in the glove compartment, the possession of which the controlled subject was unable to provide any justification for.
Thus, the weapon was seized and the person reported to the competent judicial authority.
During these services, arranged by the Police Commissioner of the Province of Vibo Valentia, Dr. Rodolfo Ruperti, which were concentrated in the most sensitive areas of the city, surrounding squares and streets were also monitored, with the aim of curbing substance abuse alcohol, the administration of the same to minors, dealing and consumption of narcotic substances, often repeated attitudes of vandalism, violence, bullying and any other widespread form of illegality. This is done with the main aim of ensuring the peaceful conduct of all city activities, including a healthy “nightlife”.
As part of the checks carried out last Saturday evening alone, no. 208 people, and controlled no. 104 vehicles.
