Two new local markets will be established, one in the Farina district and the other to Papanice. This was communicated by the Councilor for Productive Activities Maria Bruni.

“The start of the local markets marks a step to support the activities related to the small economy and enhance places suitable for sociality. In fact – says the proponent of this initiative, the Councilor for Productive Activities Maria Bruni – the markets represent points of aggregation and socialization, animated by a dynamic sector of economic operators who answer the citizens’ demand, creating deep ties with the people who attend them. The markets will continue to exist – adds Bruni – and still today, in which there is a competition of more competitive realities and online purchases, they are necessary as only they manage to create the sense of community with faces and voices that intertwine, loyalty between street vendors and buyers with an extraordinary method of selection “.

“This initiative was carried out through the consultation of the local and regional representatives of the street vendor sector with which the location and the days of course was defined; overall they will be a maximum of Three local markets, including two in the city of Crotone in Farina in via Montenegro and another in the hamlet of Papanice in Viale Calabria. Farina will take place every first and third Monday of each month (although, on an experimental basis, it will start only with the first Monday of the month) and Papanice every second Wednesday of the month. They will be intended for the sale of non -food products and, within the limits of 10% of the parking spaces, of typical food products “concludes the commissioner Bruni.
