The arrangement works that affected the area of the historic fountain have been completed for a few days, restoring the center of the flowerbed. “The intervention was started after the discovery of the structures of the ancient fountain, which had emerged following the work for positioning the stage for the New Year’s concert – explained Merenda – The project was strongly desired by the municipal administration, with the mayor Giuseppe Falcomatà and the councilor for the environment Paolo Brunetti, and saw the important collaboration of the environment sector, which coordinated the intervention. The work was carried out thanks to the authorization of the Superintendency, which ordered the protection constraint for the historical and artistic heritage of the area. A team of experts, including the “nurseries the gardener”, designed and edited the accommodation, which saw the redevelopment with a vegetation. Among the plants chosen to embellish the area there are varieties of great value and resistance, such as the Sage Oceana Blue, the Carissa Macrocarpa, the Philodendron Selloum, the Cyathea Australis, the Arundinacea Festuca, the Coprosma Rubiaceae, the Agapanthus and the Agave, which will give a touch of color and fresh. We thank the in -house Castore company for the work done, for having provided the irrigation system. The flower bed will be further enhanced with the installation of a lighting system that will make it even more suggestive during the evening.
