Perhaps few know which other treasure chest contains the “muma” inside the fortified citadel. In fact, the Museum of the Sea is not only a symbol of love for the sea and the defense of its biodiversity. Outside the water, the botanical garden stands, which represents another way to defend nature this time on earth. The garden is now appreciated nationally, having reached the flagship network, Rai 1, inside the green line broadcasts and blue line. Inside you can find various species of plants belonging to the Mediterranean floristic of Capo Milazzo and the Peloritani mountains, as well as several ancient fruit plants that are good for other natives. For example, the Maggiore Camichetta, the aromatic plants, the common menttuccia, and then the rosemary, the various types of sage, the Issop of Cosentini, the thyme with elongated stems. All this, however, needs care, dedication by those who voluntarily decide to take care of it because, although the garden is managed by the Muma in collaboration with the Municipality and the botanical garden of Messina, time and arms need to do the plants continue to grow in the best possible way. This is how the director of the Muma Carmelo Isgrò, launched an appeal aimed at citizenship, from fans to beginners.
