The second meeting between the Minister for Sport and young people is dedicated to young people and youth policies, Andrea Abodiand the councilors of the Social Policies Commission of the Conference of the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces.
Introduced by the Commission coordinator, and councilor of the Calabria Region to social and youth policies and sport, Caterina CapponiThe meeting was held yesterday at the headquarters of the Conference of the Regions and addressed some central issues for the policies aimed at the younger generations with the aim of enhancing the planning in progress and harmonizing interventions.
As highlighted by Minister Abadi, the spirit of collaboration between the Government, Regions and Autonomous Provinces is a necessary condition to pursue the objective of investing well the public resources available, in compliance with the roles, however complementary, as well as to demonstrate the effectiveness of tools and projects aimed at contributing to the achievement of two objectives: to direct young people to the world of work and stem the youth discomfort in all its forms.
In this regard, The regions underlined the need to see the fund intended for youth policies grow, by placing the emphasis on the need to enhance the share intended for the regions.
The civil service, the network project, young paper and civic spaces will represent concrete opportunities for immediate interinstitutional collaboration, to better finalize financial resources and also reach the measurement of the effectiveness of the initiatives.
On the specific front of the Universal Civil Service, the importance of the technical table already established at the Department for Youth Policies, as the location to agree on the actions of national importance, was reiterated. In this sense, the value of the three -year framework agreement was underlined, signed in December 2024 and the coordination of the Regions, whose functions should be strengthened, also through the review of the Legislative Decree 40/2017.
The works ended with the commitment to intensify the comparison, with a next meeting to be held at the end of May.
