A summer day that will hardly be forgotten. The silent alleys of Grimaldi, pearl set in the Savuto hills, turned into an exciting circuit, where the charm of the supercars met the timeless beauty of the Calabrian villages. The initiative, unique in its kind, brought together an impressive number of Ferrari racing cars, which they darted in the streets of the village under the amazed eyes of residents and tourists. Behind this show there is a clear idea and an authentic passion: to make known the hidden treasures of Calabria through the magic of the engines. To tell it is Tonino Santelli, the soul of the event and one of the organizers of the first Savuto supercar show: «With this event we want to discover our villages, too often forgotten. They are wonderful, rich in history and humanity. And then – he adds with enthusiasm – not everyone has the opportunity to see these cars closely. Bring them to small towns is a way to give emotion and do good, because the aim is also beneficial ». The event gave adrenaline moments, the powerful rhombus of the Ferraris of different eras has broken for a few hours the quiet of the country, transforming the historic center into an arena of pure motor passion. The pilots, real artists of the steering wheel, challenged each other in a driving skills race, where in addition to the speed he won control and style. Tonino Santelli rose to the top step of the podium, crowning a day in which the heart, engines and territory merged into a perfect combination. The event, which has met with great success to the public, will not remain an isolated case, the organizers promise new stages and new villages to be shone with the same enthusiasm.
The message is clear: Calabria does not need to transform itself, it only needs to be discovered. And if horses are needed to do it, whether they are horses of race.
