But from the Municipality, no answer.
Neither a denial nor a clarification. Silence as the only answer.
An administration that is silent in front of those who report injustice is not democratic. It is an administration that responds only to friends and to the aligned to majority parties, ignoring citizens, workers and unions that are not aligned. A municipality that speaks only with those who are comfortable and pretends not to see everything else.
This is not only institutional arrogance. It is a non -democratic drift, because it breaks the public confrontation, rejects the contradictory and despises transparency.
We use the same words of the Democratic Party and the 5 Stars to comment on what is happening in Cosenza. How can we talk about participation, if those who governs the city does not even respond when asking them to be an account of how the most fragile workers are treated? The Municipality of Cosenza must leave the silence, take responsibility for its choices and open a real public confrontation, transparent and open to everyone. We don’t stop. Because those who govern have a duty to respond, especially *when it comes to rights, work and dignity *.
