The wild and authentic heart of Calabriaalong the parks cycle path: a spectacular itinerary that crosses uncontaminated landscapes and villages suspended over time at the center of the new appointment with “Green Line paths”broadcast on Saturday 12 July at 12.30 on Rai 1.

Lino Zani and Giulia Capocchi start together from Laino Castello, at the gates of the Pollino National Park, riding the bicycles. Together they face the first kilometers of the cycle path, with a stop on the Lao river for an experience of rafting, a stop at an important hub of sustainable tourism and a deviation towards the orsomat, to discover local agriculture. Once in the village of Morano Calabro, one of the most beautiful in Italy, Giulia Capocchi continues to pedal along the cycle path, following the former Lucan -Calabra railway, now transformed into the cycle path, touching Saracen, Acquaformosa – with its traditions Arbëreshë – and Policstrello, where she will meet a service center for cycle tourists. Lino Zani, on the other hand, continues on foot along the Italian path of the Italian Alpine Club, which in this area takes the name of Calabriaboschi, plateaus and clearings, until he reached San Donato di Ninea, where he will find Giulia at the end of the journey. An episode that tells a green and lively Calabria, where many young people have chosen to stay or come back, give life to territories rich in history, nature and humanity. A story made of passion, resilience and beauty, in balance between tradition and future.
