Checks in Torre Melissa: penalties for 5 thousand euros to a hotel and a lido-restaurant

Controls joined to Torre Melissa, coordinated by the Prefecture of Crotone. During the inspection, the police have ascertained a series of irregularities at various activities of the coast.

In particular, at A well -known hotel in the area emerged serious violations of the current legislation on bathing safety: among these, the absence of the assistance and rescue service, the failure to install Rossi and Bianchi Gavitelli to delimit the bathing area, as well as the total absence of a first aid station with the relative health equipment.

The owner of the structure was notified of a warning with the obligation to adapt to the provisions of the law, as well as administrative penalties for an amount greater than 2,000 euros.

During the same checks, it was also inspected a seaside beach with an adjoining restaurant. Also in this case, irregularities related to the safety of bathing have been found: in particular, the failure to report safe waters with the appropriate white Gavi.

The violation cost the manager an administrative sanction of about 3,000 euros. The operations are part of a wider surveillance and prevention plan aimed at guaranteeing compliance with the rules, the safety of swimmers and the correct management of tourist activities along the Crotone coast. The authorities let us know that the checks will continue in the coming weeks.
