Moments of fear this morning at the intersection of via Salandra and via Giolitti, where a violent road accident occurred between two cars. Following the impact, one of the vehicles overturned, trapping the driver inside, a conscious but strongly painful woman.
The timely intervention of the Fire Brigade of the Messina Command proved to be decisive. Once on the spot with a tank autopp (APS) and a pick-up equipped with equipped module, the rescuers have implemented the maneuvers provided for by the TPSS procedures (first aid techniques) to ensure the safe extraction of the women.
The operation was conducted by specialized personnel, with the support of a TPSS Cape Team Instructor. The firefighters managed to access the vehicle from the driver’s side, proceeding with the immobilization of the driver by means of a housing and cervical collar, before positioning it on the spinal table for transport.
A few minutes later the 118 health personnel also came to the spot, who took charge of the woman for further investigations. The operators expressed words of appreciation for the professionalism and speed of the intervention of the firefighters.
The municipal police also intervened at the accident site, in charge of carrying out the necessary findings and reconstructing the dynamics of the accident.
