With this agreement, Air Canada will bring its AC code on selected routes made by Ita Airways departing from Rome Fiumicino. These include: Five popular Italian destinations – Lamezia TermePalermo, Catania, Florence and Bari; Three destinations in Africa, including Cairo, Tunis and Algiers (these two subject to government approval); In addition to Tirana and Tel Aviv (the latter temporarily suspended). At the same time, Ita Airways will add its AZ code on some routes made by Air Canada with Toronto Pearson origin. The purchase of codhary tickets is available today to travel starting from 21 July. Both companies are working so that the accumulation and mutual redemption of the points in their respective loyalty programs are implemented. In addition, Ita Airways is finalizing his entry into Star Alliance, scheduled for the first months of 2026. This partnership contributes to enriching the expanding network of Air Canada in Italy.
This summer, Air Canada will operate up to 39 weekly flights and transport over 13,000 passengers per week to the Bel Paese. In May the company launched a new route between Montreal and Naples, a portal for the Amalfi Coast. Naples is the fourth Italian destination of the Canadian carrier, in addition to Rome, Milan and Venice.
