In view of the last concert scheduled for this evening in Messina, the Sicilian Autostrade Consortium announced the temporary suspension of some work in progress on the motorway network. The goal is to facilitate the vehicular flow and guarantee a more sliding road for the numerous spectators arriving.
In particular, all the interventions that involve the closure to the traffic of the junctions of Rocca di Caprileone along the A20 Messina-Palermo motorway and of Roccalumera on the A18 Messina-Catania motorway. The latter will be entirely open both incoming and outgoing, in both directions.
However, the CAS invites motorists to prudence, remembering that the increase in the traffic planned in conjunction with the event could cause slowdowns, especially in the previous hours and following the concert.
The suspension of the works was decided in coordination with the local authorities to minimize inconvenience and guarantee a more fluid roads in a weekly traffic weekend.
