The mayor of Vibo Valentia, Enzo Romeo, He issued an order with which he forbidden the concert of the neo -melodic singer Teresa Morante, scheduled tonight in a beach of the Bivona hamlet. The measure was adopted after a report from the Vibo Valentia police headquarters, who informed the municipal administration of the concert. The entity, among other things, had not received any prior communication of the show by the organizers.
The decision of the mayor Romeo, according to what is affirmed in the ordinance, is based on “public contents attributable to forms of apology or exaltation of organized crime conveyed by the singer, whose performances, albeit in private contexts, would take on a public dimension such as to generate concern, disorder, tensions between citizens and offended to the values of legality”. The mayor motivated the prohibition by referring to the legislation on urban safety and article 414 of the criminal code, which punishes the apology of crime, considering “necessary and proportionate to prohibit the event to protect public order”.
