Great success for an innovative initiative of the ASP of Messina recently presented in Bari to a prestigious national health event entitled “Mediterranean Forum Health”. The proposed management model, the result of listening to the territory, the analysis of the context and of a participatory and inclusive vision of health services is called: “The proximity logistics: the planning of the Sicily Region”. It is an innovative model to allow home delivery of any type of subsidy and garrison to the various patients. This was wanted to be the whole strategic direction of the ASP of Messina led by Giuseppe Cuccì and also composed of the administrative director Giancarlo Niutta and the health director Giuseppe Ranieri Trimarchi
The model was illustrated by Enzo Picciolo, director of the Messina District of the ASP. His was a highly appreciated intervention and applauded by the audience present. “The project – explained Picciolo – is divided into several phases for a prescription and health distribution system of aids and principals up to the home, thus eliminating files in presence and bureaucracy”.

The ASP doctor then evaluates and authorizes the prescription by assigning the number of protocol and then the patient receives confirmation of the authorization.
