The president of the Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiuto, will be questioned tomorrow by the magistrates of the Catanzaro Prosecutor’s Office as part of an investigation that sees him investigated for corruption. President Occhiuto will be heard by the prosecutor Giancarlo Novelli and the deputy prosecutor Domenico Assumma in the late morning.
The Governor had requested through his lawyers, the lawyers Nicola Carratelli and his son of the Forum of Rome, to be questioned after discovering that he was investigated having received the notification of extension of the investigations. About a month ago he himself had news, through social media, of his enrollment in the register of suspects and to urge an interview with the magistrates. This is an investigation by the Prosecutor of Catanzaro (coordinated by the chief prosecutor Salvatore Curcio and the substitute Domenico Assumma) who sees him investigated together with 4 other people and concerning appointments and assignments in companies which the governor was part together with two other suspects. No search was carried out against Occhiuto, but from what has emerged there would be a search decree carried out against other suspects.
