For the year 2025, the Region has ordered the distribution of over 4.3 million euros among the social territorial areas (ATS), with the aim of strengthening the quality and effectiveness of social benefits in the area and guaranteeing some areas in which problems had occurred.
Resources derive from state and regional funds and will be divided according to criteria that reward the expense capacity of the ATS and the demographic and structural dimension of the territories. The funds will allow to finance social projects, support residential and semi-residential structures, and activate interventions aimed at families, elderly, disabled and minors.
The resolution approved today is only the first step in this strategic direction, the junta is in fact already working on a general reprogramming of some community resources that will be allocated for the social.
The programming of national funds intended for family caregivers equal to 1.9 million euros for the two-year period 2023-2024 is also deliberated. The resources, assigned to the Calabrian ATS, will serve to economically support those who assist families with very serious disabilities and to promote paths of inclusion, dezication and family reunification. The maximum planned contribution is 1,200 euros per year for each caregiver, paid on the basis of the actual assistance activity carried out.
