With a financial allocation of 50 million euros, the Calabria Region starts the implementation of the Regional Olivic Plan, approved and defined as part of the Pac 2023-2027 PAC program-Calabria regional strategic complement.
In fact, the public notice “SRD01 intervention – agricultural production investments for the competitiveness of the agricultural company of the olive sector” was published, which represents a fundamental tool for the relaunch and innovation of the Calabrian olive sector, the beating heart of the regional agri -food.
Beneficiaries of the announcement are the agricultural entrepreneurs, individual or associated, operating in the olive sector.
The intervention provides for support for productive and innovative investments, both individual and collective, with purposes ranging from the enhancement of land capital and corporate endowments, to the climatic-environmental improvement, the quality and differentiation of productions, up to the introduction of digital technologies and innovative processes.
Among the eligible measures include: the construction of new high density and mechanizable olive plants; the explanatory and replanting of olive groves and the redevelopment of existing plants, including the recovery of secular olive groves; the renewal of the company mills with advanced technological systems for the extraction and enhancement of by -products; Investments in machinery, equipment and digital solutions (drones, sensors, robots, management systems), as well as mechanization for collection; interventions aimed at environmental sustainability, soil conservation and reduction of emissions.
