«The reconfirmation at the helm of the Calabria Region of Roberto Occhiuto by a very wide margin is a result of which we were certain, and which represents the victory of good politics, good governance and a centre-right team that in recent years has been able to offer the Calabrians cohesion, seriousness, competence and concrete results. With the Occhiuto government and with the work of the representatives of Fratelli d’Italia in the Region we have already transformed Calabria: we have restarted a stopped machine, initiated reforms, made blocked projects operational, opened construction sites and created new opportunities, giving a new image to Calabria. The Calabrians have recognized the results of these years and have given us confidence to continue on this path of change and growth.”
This was declared by the regional coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia, Wanda Ferro, expressing great satisfaction with the outcome of the regional elections which saw the party reach 11.64 percent, confirming itself as the second force of the coalition in Calabria and winning four seats in the Regional Council.
«An important result – underlines Wanda Ferro – which rewards the work carried out in recent years by the party and the council group, but also the commitment and passion of our candidates throughout the region. On my behalf and that of the entire Fratelli d’Italia community, I wish the elected councilors good luck in their work: the reconfirmed Giovanni Calabrese, Luciana De Francesco and Antonio Montuoro, and the newly elected Angelo Brutto, who will give continuity and new energy to our political action in the Regional Council. Thanks also go to all the candidates who have chosen to get involved, starting with the outgoing Pietro Molinaro and Sabrina Mannarino, and the vice-president of the Council Filippo Pietropaolo, who in recent years have made a great contribution to the administrative activity and growth of the party. Their experience and their roots are a precious asset for Fratelli d’Italia.”
