As part of the qualification and national selection activities, we inform you that on Tuesday 24 February, at the Nuovo Palazzetto dello Sport in Lamezia Terme, located in via Pietro Mennea (via del Progresso area), a Regional Day training session reserved for the athletes called up will take place. The activity will be directed by the Technical Director of the National Youth Teams Marco Mencarelli, assisted by the Regional Technical Staff.
The initiative represents a significant moment in the process of monitoring and developing young female talent in the area, offering the athletes involved an important opportunity for technical comparison and sporting growth.

The National Technical Staff, composed of the Federal Technician Gaetano Gagliardi, will take part in the initiative. The staff of the Regional Qualification Center will also be present, with the CQR Manager Roberto Panzarella and the Technical Director Antonella Del Core, assisted by the technicians of the women’s sector Vito Iurlaro (selector), Luigi Zangaro and Antonio Muto.
Refresher course for coaches
In parallel with the activity in the field, the FIPAV Calabria Regional Committee promotes a refresher course aimed at all technicians in the area, acting as a further opportunity for training and methodological sharing. The meeting will also be held on Tuesday 24 February at the Palazzetto dello Sport (Nuovo Palasport) in Lamezia Terme, with accreditation starting from 5.30 pm and work starting at 6.00 pm.
The speaker of the session will be Marco Mencarelli himself, who will delve into the topic “Management of the first touch in youth volleyball”, offering technical and operational ideas useful for the daily work of the technicians involved in the youth sectors.
The event is part of the broader territorial development and qualification program promoted by the Regional Committee, aimed at encouraging the growth of the volleyball movement and the valorization of young Calabrian athletes.
