Emanuel Perathoner won the gold medal in the men’s snowboard cross at the Milan Cortina Paralympics. It is the first gold for the blue colors of the 2026 Games. On the Cortina D’Ampezzo track he preceded the Australian Ben Tudhope and the Korean Lee Jehyuk.

“Gold is what we have always aimed for”

“It’s beautiful, it’s what we’ve aimed for, what we’ve worked on all these seasons and it’s wonderful.” This is the first comment from Emanuel Perathoner, Paralympic champion in snowboarding and first gold medal in Milan Cortina. «Someone got hurt – he added – but in the end everything went well. Next week is the next race (the men’s Banked slalom, ed.), so we’re aiming for gold in that too. I have always dominated in that discipline, so let’s hope for the best. But my favorite discipline is this.”
