At the final closing of the polls, today Monday 23 March, the turnout for the 2026 constitutional referendum in the Municipality of Messina stood at 47.88 percent, with 83,632 voters out of a total of 174,660 voters.
For comparison, on the occasion of the 2025 repeal referendum, the survey of voter turnout in Messina, at the final closing of the polls, recorded approximately 41,282 voters, equal to 23.59%, the average figure referring to the five referendum questions.
