A section of the A2 “Autostrada del Mediterraneo” heading north, between the Rosarno and Mileto junctions, is temporarily closed due to an accident involving a heavy vehicle.
The truck remained sideways on the roadway, blocking traffic. The driver was injured in the accident.
Rescue intervention
Anas operators, the police forces and the 118 air ambulance intervened on site, involved in managing the emergency and carrying out the operations necessary to reopen the stretch as quickly as possible.
Alternative road system
For those traveling north, we recommend exiting at the Rosarno junction, continuing along state road 18 and subsequently returning to the motorway at the Sant’Onofrio junction. The causes of the accident are under investigation.
