Corigliano Rossano, a new way of combining tourism

“Terrae Magna Graecia” is born, the tourist network of the municipalities of the Magna Graecia territory. It was an exceptional and emotionally engaging glance from a council room in the city building in the historic center of Rossano where almost 40 mayors were present with their tricolor sash to seal a moment defined by many as “historic”. “Terrae Magna Graecia” aims to be an innovative organizational model, capable of overcoming parochialism to embrace a shared growth strategy. The project was not born by chance, but from a precise desire to systematize the cultural, historical and landscape excellences of an area that has its roots in the glorious Magna Graecia past. The mayor of Corigliano Rossano Flavio Stasi was elected president at the head of the new entity and the governance will be supported by a board of directors representing different geographical areas: Upper Ionian, Lower Ionian, Valle dell’Esaro, Sila Greca, Arbëria, Cassano Jonio and Corigliano-Rossano. «Terrae Magna Grecia represents our tourist network, with which we intend to enhance the precious resources of the territory and create the tourist destination».
