Few emotions and no goals between Milan and Juventus in Sunday’s big match. Who can smile the most is the team led by Massimiliano Allegri, who are getting closer to their goal of qualifying for the Champions League, moving within six points of fifth place (occupied by Como and Roma). Juve also takes a step forward and is now three more than fifth place. The start is almost soporific and the first opportunity is seen only in the 35th minute, when Rabiot becomes the protagonist of a central percussion and a powerful left-footed shot from the edge, which Di Gregorio is attentive to and saves with a dive. A minute later, Conceição beats Bartesaghi, puts it in the center and Thuram scores from two steps. The referee, after the signal from the VAR room, cancels it for offside. In the 40th minute, Conceicao is still burning hot in the acceleration phase on Bartesaghi, he centralizes and tries with the left foot from a tight angle, but Maignan opposes with his body. The first half ends goalless. The best opportunity for the hosts of the entire match materialized in the 5th minute of the second half, when Leao widened for Saelemaekers at the end of a quick counterattack, but the Belgian’s right-footed shot hit the crossbar.
At the half hour mark, a heavy, fortuitous head-to-head clash between Modric and Locatelli forced the referee to stop the game for a few minutes. The Croatian is forced to leave the field, luckily on his legs. In the final, little or nothing happens with the two goalkeepers almost never involved and with the two teams almost seeming to be satisfied with a 0-0 draw. The result will no longer change. The ranking sees Milan in third place at 67 points, with the advantage over fourth-placed Juventus remaining three. However, the favorable margin of the Bianconeri over the pairing of Roma and Como with a view to fighting for fourth place is reduced to three.
